DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL SERVICES

Full time • Hybrid UK • £50,000–£60,000 per annum depending on experience

We help purpose-led and growing organisations take control of their finance function. We now need a director of financial services to lead delivery, shape insight and make finance feel calm, clear and useful.

 

What you’ll do

  • Own the monthly rhythm: management accounts, board packs and KPIs

  • Lead budgeting, reforecasting, cashflow and scenario planning

  • Strengthen policies, controls and month-end routines

  • Oversee VAT posture, year-end readiness and audit liaison

  • Drive process improvement and digitalisation across clients

  • Coach leaders and build trusted relationships

  • Work closely with SMG’s delivery team to ensure quality and deadlines

What you’ll bring

  • Professional qualification: CIMA or ACCA

  • Senior experience in finance leadership

  • Clear written commentary and board-level communication

  • Confidence with cloud finance tools, ideally Xero

  • Calm, honest and collaborative approach

  • Charity or Students’ Union experience is a plus
